IOTA Award Requirements
IOTA (Islands on the Air) Award Rules
The Islands on the Air (IOTA) program, managed by IOTA Ltd in partnership with the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB), is an extremely popular program that encourages contacts with stations operating from islands worldwide.
Basic Rules
- IOTA References: The world’s islands are categorized into unique references (e.g. EU-001, NA-062, AS-007).
- Basic Award: Confirm contacts with at least 100 different IOTA island groups.
- Increments: Certificates and endorsements are issued for milestones: 200, 300, 400, etc., up to the maximum active groups.
Verification
Confirmations are accepted via paper QSL cards checked by IOTA checkpoints, or via electronic matching on the official IOTA website (which integrates with ClubLog query matches).
