DXCC Award Requirements
DXCC (DX Century Club) Award Rules
The DXCC Award is the pinnacle of achievement for amateur radio DXers. Issued by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), it recognizes stations that successfully make two-way communication with at least 100 distinct geographical entities (countries or territories) from the official DXCC list.
Basic Rules
- Minimum Connections: Contact and confirm 100 different DXCC entities.
- Verification: Contacts must be confirmed via physical QSL cards checked by an authorized card checker, or electronically through the ARRL Logbook of the World (LoTW).
- Operation Limits: All contacts must be made from the same DXCC entity. Cross-band, cross-mode, and contacts made via repeaters or internet links (like EchoLink) are strictly prohibited.
Award Types and Classes

| Band-Specific | Available for individual bands: 160M, 80M, 40M, 30M, 20M, 17M, 15M, 12M, 10M, 6M, 2M. |
| 5-Band DXCC (5BDXCC) | Requires confirming 100 entities on each of the 5 core HF bands: 80M, 40M, 20M, 15M, and 10M. |
DXCC Honor Roll
To qualify for the prestigious DXCC Honor Roll, an amateur operator must confirm contacts with enough entities to place them within the top numerical 11 entities of the total active entities on the official DXCC list (e.g., currently requiring confirmations with at least 331 of the 340 active entities).
